Optimalisasi Tekanan Injeksi, Temperatur Dan Time Injection Pada Mesin Diesel Berbahan Bakar B40 Dengan Metode Taguchi
The need for energy currently continues to increase, while the availability of fossil energy is decreasing. Therefore, various efforts have been made to find alternative fuels that are renewable and environmentally friendly. The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources in Ministerial Regulation No. 12 of 2015 has determined that Indonesia will gradually implement biodiesel. When compared to diesel, biodiesel has higher viscosity, density, flash point and surface tension values so it requires certain maintenance so that the engine works optimally. Several ways to improve engine performance are setting injection pressure, fuel temperature and injection time. This research was conducted to determine the effect of variations in injection time, inlet fuel temperature and injection pressure on diesel motor working indications such as effective shaft power, brake thermal efficiency, SFC, AFR and exhaust gas opacity using B40 biodiesel with the aim of being able to produce better diesel motor performance. optimal. This research used a 1 cylinder diesel engine with constant rotation, using 5 variations of injection time 8 - 28°, 5 variations of fuel temperature 30 - 70°C, 5 variations of injection pressure 130 - 170 bar and 5 variations of loading 5000 - 25000 kg/m2. Testing was carried out using the Taguchi method. The research results showed that the best variation was obtained at an injection time of 23°, fuel temperature of 60˚C and injection pressure of 160 bar. The predicted optimal working indication values are power of 1.04 kW at a load of 25,000 kg/m2, brake thermal efficiency of 20.88 % at a load of 20,000 kg/m2, SFC of 0.0001011579 kg/kJ at a load of 20,000 kg/m2, AFR is 194.53 at a load of 5,000 kg/m2 and opacity is 21.62%. For the shaft power parameter, the most influential parameter is injection pressure, then for brake thermal efficiency it is the inlet fuel temperature. While in SFC, AFR and opacity are time injections.
