Kaji Eksperimental Minyak Sawit Dengan Polyol Ester (Poe) Oil Sebagai Lubricant Terhadap Laju Keausan Dan Koefisien Gesek Dengan Komposisi Campuran 25% Poe Dan 75% Minyak Sawit Pada Wet Contact Pin-On-Disc
This paper presents research on how to reduce or prevent energy loss due to friction. By using several methods to reduce friction between two contact surfaces, one of which is the use or addition of lubricant to the contact surface. This finding emphasizes the importance of lubricants to determine wear values and friction coefficients, where this lubricant provides space between engine elements, so that contact does not occur so that there is no wear and decrease in the value of the coefficient of friction on each engine element. This study aims to determine the effect of the composition of palm oil and polyol ester (POE) oil on the wear rate and coefficient of friction. In addition, the researcher also proposed further development by considering the use of lubricants and different materials in order to be compared with the results in this study.
