Lubuk larangan is a fisheries management area in the river formed by the community and prohibited from fishing for a certain time. Research on the status of Lubuk Larangan in Subayang River, Padang Sawah Village based on water chemistry parameters was conducted in March-April 2024 in Padang Sawah Village, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The research method used was survey method and descriptive data analysis. The results of physical parameter measurements obtained an average temperature value of 29 ° C, a depth of 1.9 m, a brightness of 58.7 cm, and a current speed of 2.2 m/s. The results of chemical parameter measurements obtained an average pH value of 7.1, DO 3.7 mg/L, NO3 0.6 mg/L, Total N 1.63 mg/L, Total P 0,04 mg/L, and TN: TP ratio with a value of 487. The management condition of the Padang Sawah Village prohibition hole based on legal protection status is still at the village level. Lubuk larangan zoning is set in the buffer zone. Security and supervision are carried out by the local community. Maintenance of riverbank vegetation has not been carried out due to flood-prone areas. The community has an awareness about complying with the rules of the lubuk larangan and obtaining economic benefits from the existence of the lubuk larangan. The status of the prohibition hole based on the assessment of the aspects of water chemistry parameters is good and is included in the Main class category. However, the management aspect of the ban hole is still not good and is included in the Young class category.
