PENGUJIAN PERFORMA PROTOTIPE KAPAL WISATA TIPE MONOHULL MENGGUNAKAN ENJIN 2 LANGKAH UNTUK KONTES KAPAL CEPAT TAK BERAWAK NASIONAL
This research aims to test the performance of a monohull type tourist boat prototype
using a two-stroke engine for the National Unmanned Fast Boat Contest
(KKCTBN). The contest is an event to promote maritime technology innovation to
support the tourism sector in Indonesia. The development of a monohull type boat
with a two-stroke engine was chosen for its superior stability and speed. The tested
prototype boat has main dimensions of an overall length (LOA) of 0.95 meters, a
width (B) of 0.26 meters, and a height (T) of 0.1 meters. Testing was conducted
under various conditions, including no-load and loaded speed, as well as
maneuvering in wavy waters. Test results showed the best linear speed of 9.04 m/s
(17.572 knots) without additional load, and a maximum maneuvering speed of 5.46
m/s (10.61 knots). This study also evaluated the boat's stability at various tilt angles
and displacement volumes affected by additional loads. The research successfully
demonstrated that a boat with a monohull design and a two-stroke engine has
adequate performance to meet competition criteria and can function effectively in
tourism transportation. The implications of this research include the development
of more efficient, safe, and unmanned fast boat technology that can contribute to
the enhancement of the maritime tourism sector in Indonesia.
