PERANCANGAN DAN IMPLEMENTASI USER INTERFACE SISTEM PENJADWALAN PERKULIAHAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE USER-CENTERED DESIGN PADA FAKULTAS TEKNIK UNIVERSITAS RIAU
The Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Riau faces several challenges in
scheduling lectures, including suboptimal room allocation, forcing some study
programs to use laboratories or Saturdays. Additionally, there is a perception of
specialization for certain study programs due to the assignment of dedicated lecture
buildings. Specific factors that need to be considered in scheduling lectures include
accommodation for disabled lecturers, lecturers from companies, gaps between
lectures, break times for prayer, lunch, and rest, and appropriate classroom
placement based on capacity. This study aims to design an optimal user interface
and implement the front-end according to the designed plan for a web-based
Lecture Scheduling System. The methodology used in this study is Research and
Development (R&D), with the user interface design method utilizing a UserCentered Design (UCD) approach. Based on ISO 25010 testing results, the Faculty
of Engineering's Lecture Scheduling System passed in tested aspects such as
Functionality Suitability, Usability, Compatibility, and Portability
