ANALISIS KEBUTUHAN DAYA DAN KINERJA TRAKSI PADA DUMP TRUCK SKALA 1:10
This research aims to analyze the motor power requirement and traction
performance of a 1:10 scale electric-powered dump truck. Electric dump trucks are
developed as a solution to the depletion of fossil fuels and exhaust gas emissions.
This study focuses on selecting an appropriate motor and calculating vehicle
traction. The analysis is conducted based on previous and current research,
considering the vehicle's ability to carry loads and overcome various road
conditions. The results show that the traction force of the 1:10 scale electricpowered dump truck increases with speed and elevation angle. At 0 km/h and 0
degrees elevation angle, the traction force reaches 3,8458 Newton. This traction
force increases to 3,8537 Newton at a speed of 2.41 km/h. This increase in traction
force is more significant at higher elevation angles, indicating a greater power
requirement when climbing slopes. At a 30-degree elevation angle and a speed of
2.41 km/h, the maximum power requirement reaches 46,574 Watts. The conclusion
of this study emphasizes that the motor used in a 1:10 scale electric-powered dump
truck must be able to provide sufficient power to achieve optimal performance,
especially in heavy-duty operational situations. Although the vehicle's traction
performance is adequate for various conditions, optimizing the motor's design and
specifications is necessary to achieve maximum efficiency.
