PERANCANGAN DAN PEMBUATAN RANGKA MOBIL HEMAT ENERGI GARDAPATI TIPE PROTOTYPE
The frame is one of the most important components of a vehicle. In designing a car,
it is necessary to pay attention to the design of the frame structure to get safety and
comfort when driving. This research will also discuss the process of making the
Gardapati Type Prototype Energi Effecient frame. The design process starts from
the design of the Gardapati Prototype Type Energi Effecient car frame referring to
the KMHE regulations in 2023. Furthermore, material selection is carried out,
followed by manual static calculations and stress analysis simulations using
Autodesk inventor 2019 software. In the static mathematical calculation of the
frame, the largest stress is obtained with a value of 54.04 MPa and in the static
simulation results, the largest stress is obtained with a value of 239.4 MPa which
occurs in the main rod. In making the prototype vehicle frame using rectangular
steel ST37 material, the material was chosen because it considers the strength value
of the material that is safe to use as a prototype car frame. With the use of
rectangular steel ST37 material, a safety factor value of 5 is selected based on the
largest stress value in the static simulation, so that the use of this material in the
frame can be said to be in a safe condition.
