"PENGARUH JARAK TUMPUAN DAN SUDUT PEMBENGKOKAN (BENDING) PIPA TERHADAP KEOVALAN PADA ALAT RAM BENDING"
This research aims to investigate the influence of support distance and
bending angle on the ovality of 1-inch black steel pipes using a ram bending tool.
The primary issue addressed is how variations in these parameters affect the
ovality value of the pipes. Research objectives include testing the capabilities of
the Ram Bending tool to produce ovality with different bending angles and
support distances, and determining the final ovality values of the pipes post- bending. The study's significance lies in its contribution to the literature on the
impact of bending angles and support distances on the ovality of 1-inch pipes. The
research methodology involves testing 1-inch pipes with a thickness of 2.2 mm,
varying bending angles (140˚, 150˚, 160˚), and support distances (210 mm, 350
mm, 485 mm). Results indicate that pipe ovality tends to decrease with increasing
bending angle and greater support distance. The lowest ovality value was
observed at a bending angle of 160˚ with a support distance of 485 mm (3.19
mm), whereas the highest ovality occurred at a bending angle of 140˚ with the
closest support distance (11.8 mm), based on the research data.
