Penerapan Prinsip Ekowisata Pada Taman Hutan Raya Sultan Syarif Hasyim Di Provinsi Riau
Taman Hutan Raya (Tahura) Sultan Sharif Hashim in the province of Riau isa conservation area with much potential for ecotourism development. The purpose of this study is to see how the principles of ecotourism are applied in tahura sultan sharif hashim sultan and how they affect the preservation of local environment and welfare. The most important principles of ecotourism include the preservation of biodiversity, active participation of communities, environmental education, and economic benefits to local communities. The qualitative case study involved in-depth interviews with the tahura administrators, the surrounding communities, and the tourists. In addition, data is collected through direct observation and relevant document analysis. Studies show that the principles of ecotourism have already begun to be applied in tahura sultan sharif hashim, although there are still some challenges. The maintenance of native habitats and reforestation are examples of successful environmental conservation efforts. Empowerment and training in tourism management increases local participation, allowing them to work as workers but also as micro administrators and entrepreneurs in the tourism sector. Trekking, learning Tours, and natural festivals are some of the ways visitors can learn about the environment. The income of local people involved in ecotourism is increasing as a result of the economic impact. As a result, the principles of ecotourism in tahura sultan sharif hashim have great potential to help with the conservation of nature and the well-being of local communities, provided the existing challenges can be overcome through continued and collaborative cooperation
