Lubuk Larangan Sungai Paku Village has not been optimally managed. Lubuk Larangan in Sungai Paku Village is located right behind a residential area and is surrounded by palm oil and rubber plantations owned by local residents, so it is suspected that the potential for household waste and plantation waste from the community is dumped into the river where Lubuk Larangan is located. If left unchecked, it will disrupt the habitat of the biota in Lubuk Larangan. This study was conducted in May - June 2024 which aims to analyze how the physical and chemical parameters of water in the Paku River can be used as effective indicators to assess the quality of Lubuk Larangan, as well as its contribution to the conservation and management of fishery resources. This study uses a survey method. Water quality samples were taken from three station points determined using the purposive sampling method. Management data were collected from interviews with the village head, the head of the Lubuk Larangan management and 28 people around the Lubuk Larangan area. The determination of the management status of Lubuk Larangan refers to the evaluation criteria book for inland fisheries sanctuaries put forward by Hartoto et al 1988. The management status of Lubuk Larangan is at 63%, which is included in the Middle class with a fairly good interpretation..
