GAMBARAN RISIKO TERJADINYA NARSISTIK PADA REMAJA PENGGUNA APLIKASI TIKTOK
Background: Narcissistic behavior is a form of self-actualization of individuals who love themselves excessively and is a mental personality disorder in which a person always wants to be admired, feels important, needs attention, and feels perfect. The purpose of this study was to determine the risk of narcissistic behavior in adolescent users of the tiktok application. Methods: This study used a quantitative approach with a quantitative descriptive research design. The research sample consisted of 149 teenagers in class XI of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru who were selected using simple random sampling technique. This study uses a questionnaire of respondent characteristics, a questionnaire of the intensity of use of the TikTok application which has been tested valid and reliable with a Cronbach's alpha value of 0.891 by Rahmawati in 2022, and a questionnaire of narcissistic behavior tendencies which has been tested valid and reliable with a Cronbach's alpha value of 0.941 by Wulandari in 2022. The data analysis used in this study was univariate analysis. Result: This study shows that the majority of respondents are 16 years old as many as 103 people (69.1%) and the majority are female as many as 86 people (57.7%). The results showed that most adolescent TikTok users were vulnerable to narcissistic behavior, with 94 people (63.1%) in the moderate risk category and showing 4 out of 9 narcissistic risk traits. Conclusion: The description of the risk of narcissistic behavior in adolescent TikTok users is in the moderate category.
