Implementasi Qanun Nomor 6 Tahun 2014 Tentang Hukum Jinayat Periode 2020-2023 Di Kota Lhokseumawe

This research is based on the background that Lhokseumawe is one of the regions in Aceh that applies Islamic law. One of the Sharia qanuns that must be obeyed and obeyed by the entire community of Lhokseumawe City is Qanun Number 6 of 2014 concerning Jinayah Law. Jinayah law (criminal law) is part of Islamic shari'a implemented in Lhokseumawe City. Qanun Jinayat is a legal product formed with the aim of reducing the number of violations against Islamic law in Lhokseumawe City. The presence of Qanun Jinayat as a norm that enforces Islamic law has not been able to reduce the level of violations in Lhokseumawe City
The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of Qanun policy Number 6 of 2014 concerning Jinayah Law in Lhokseumawe City and what are the factors that hinder the implementation of Qanun policy Number 6 of 2014 concerning Jinayah Law in Lhokseumawe City, This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method approach. Primary data were obtained directly through interviews from theinformants, namely the Head of the Enforcement Section of the Lhokseumawe City Civil Service Police Local and Legislative Regulations, Staff of the Lhokseumawe City Civil Service Police Enforcement Section, Community Leaders, Youth Leaders, Religious Leaders and Qanun Violators Number 6 of 2014 concerning Jinayat Law.
The results of this study show that the implementation of Qanun Number 6 of 2014 concerning Jinayat Law in Lhokseumawe City can be said to be not optimal. This is due to the lack of intense cooperation between the community and religious leaders with the Lhokseumawe City Civil Service Police Unit, the lack of maximum socialization to the community regarding the implementation of Qanun Number 6 of 2014 concerning Jinayah Law and legal awareness and public knowledge about Qanun Jianayah which is still low.
