The amount of potential in the electronic commerce business (e- commerce) is inseparable from the development of internet users and internet growth in Indonesia. The form and interaction of e-commerce business actors in Indonesia is divided into various types, shopee is a type of e-commerce Online Marketplace Provider (OMP), in addition to the benefits gained in online shopping there are also risks that may occur when shipping the wrong goods by the seller and the delay in delivery of goods. This research was conducted on one of the shopee marketplaces, namely the trendy you outfit shop, whether the responsibilities that have been applied by the shopee marketplace have been applied by the trendy you outfit shop. The research objectives of this thesis are first, how the implementation of marketplace shopee responsibilities. second, how to resolve disputes at trendy you outfit stores.
The type of research is sociological legal research, namely research conducted on the actual situation or the real situation that occurs in society. This research uses primary data derived from field data and secondary data consisting of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. The data collection technique used in this research is using the unstructured interview method and literature review. This research uses qualitative methods, namely research procedures that produce descriptive data, namely what is stated in writing.
The results showed that the implementation of responsibility in the trendy you outfit shop in the shopee marketplace was still not well implemented. Where the seller of the trendy you outfit shop has a responsibility to consumers to provide compensation for errors in the delivery of goods and goods that are not in accordance with the agreement between the seller and the buyer after making a transaction. As consumers in accordance with the provisions of law number 8 of 1999 concerning consumer protection article 4 letter b, and h, explained the right to compensation, compensation and / or replacement if the goods and / or services received are not in accordance with the agreement or not as they should be. there needs to be legal protection both preventively and repressively to consumers if the seller's responsibility to consumers is not fulfilled. And experience losses from the consumer side and losses from the seller which have the impact of reducing interest in purchasing goods. The trendy you outfit shop can resolve disputes by non-litigation or mediation which is only taken if agreed by the parties. The parties can take the mediation route through the chat feature on shopee that shopee has provided. By going through this mediation, the trendy you outfit shop is responsible or compensated by returning goods or returning money on the condition that the buyer sends the goods back to the seller.
