Tingkat Kepadatan Lalat Dan Gambaran Kondisi Sanitasi Kantin Sekolah Dasar Negeri Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Perawang
Flies are mechanical vectors that carry pathogens and can transmit diseases such as diarrhea, dysentery, typhoid fever, and cholera. The presence of flies in an area indicates poor sanitation. Based on initial observations, the sanitation quality of the canteens in the elementary schools within the Perawang Health Center’s work area does not meet the required standards, and a significant number of flies were found. This study aims to measure the fly density and assess the sanitation conditions of the canteens in 12 elementary schools within the Perawang Health Center’s work area. The study was conducted from September to November 2024. A cross-sectional method was used, with fly density measured using a fly grill and sanitation conditions assessed through observation. The results showed that the fly density was classified as low (0-2 flies per fly grill). The sanitation conditions of the canteens in all the elementary schools within the Perawang Health Center’s work area did not meet the standards outlined in the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Regulation No. 1429/MENKES/SK/XII/2006 on Guidelines for School Environmental Health Management
