Kandungan Mikroplastik Dalam Air Dan Ikan Pantau (Rasbora caudimaculata) di Sungai Siak Provinsi Riau
The Siak River in Riau Province is known to have been contaminated with microplastics various anthropogenic activities and can accumulate in fish biota such as R. caudimaculata as a fish commodity consumed by the community. This study aims to determine the type and abundance of microplastic. This study was conducted from April – Juni 2024. There were 3 stations in the karya IndahVillage, in the Okura Village, Pekanbaru, and in Tualang Village. The water was sampled using a bongo net and samples water was filtered using Whatman No.42 mixed with KOH 10%. Fish samples were dissected and the stomach and intestines were taken, then put into a centrifuge tube and given 10% KOH and waited for 14 days. The results of this study found 5 types of microplastics in water, namely fiber, film, fragment, pellet and granule types. The highest abundance of microplastics was found at Station 3 which reached 14,498 particles/m3. While 3 types of microplastics were found, namely: fiber, film and fragments found in the stomach and intestines of R. caudimaculata. The highest abundance of microplastics was found at station 3 with 15 particles/individual. Based on the sampling station, there were differences in the abundance of microplastics between stations and a linear relationship in the total abundance of microplastics in both water and fish of R. caudimaculata. the abundance of microplastics in water and fish has a linear relationship with p value
