Strategy is an activity or method in a program created to achieve the desired goals. So the aim of this researcher is to find out the strategies and obstacles faced by the regional goverment in dealing with cases of violence against chindren in Kuantan Singingi. Problems in this research are : there are external factors and the first internal factor, namely the internal factor is the limited service budget to carry out socialization and human resources are still limited. The secound external factor is that the community still lacks knowledge about violence against children and its prevention and the community still exsts. Those who did not dare to report said there had been cases of violence against children. The concept used in this research is the concept of public strategy put forward by geoff mulgan. This indicator includes determining goals, analyzing the environment, determining direction, determining actions. And do learning, This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method, data obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. From the results of this research, it can be seen that the strategy has beeb implemented by the Department of population control, family planning, woment,s Empowerment and child protection in Kuantan Singingi regency to prevent violence against children. The prevention strategy that has been implemented by the departement is good and the government has equipped the facilities at the Department, has not yet reached all areas in Kuantan Singingi Regency. It is still being carried out in several sub- districts in Kuantan Singingi regency because there are several obstacles such as budget constraints, and human resources are still lacking so that socialization cannot be carried out in all areas in Kuantan Singingi regency.
