Pengendalian Pencemaran Lingkungan Limbah Industri Sagu Di Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti

The development of the sago industry in Meranti Islands Regency over the past few years has experienced quite rapid growth and has a positive impact due to the increase in the workforce that requires human resources so that it can reduce the impact of unemployment in Meranti Islands Regency, further impacting the community's economy and increasing PAD for the Meranti Islands Regency government. But on the other hand, the growth of sago in the community also has a negative impact that can affect the environment such as environmental pollution caused by the disposal of sago industrial waste that has not been properly managed. The Meranti Islands Regency Government has regulated all problems regarding pollution and environmental destruction into MERANTI REGIONAL REGULATION NUMBER 6 OF 2015. Based on the problems encountered in this study, it was identified using the theories of Amirullah and Budiyono in Saleh (2019). This type of research is a research that uses qualitative methods. The results of this study show that the operational standards of sago waste treatment have not been achieved properly in Meranti Islands Regency, limitations and shortcomings of several other factors such as budget and personnel capacity. In this case, the attention of the Meranti Islands Regency government is very much needed in the policy enforcement process related to the control of environmental pollution of sago industrial waste in Meranti Islands Regency can be carried out optimally.
