Jenis Dan Kepadatan Marine Debris Pada Ekosistem Padang Lamun Di Perairan Laut Pulau Belakang Padang, Kota Batam
Community activities carried out in the coastal waters of the island of Behind Padang produce a lot of marine debris and this presence can damage aquatic ecosystems, one of which is seagrass ecosystem. This research aims to determine the type and abundance of Marine Debris in the seagrass ecosystem in the waters of Belakang Padang Island, Batam City, which was carried out in November -December 2023. The research location was determined by 3 observation stations, namely Station 1 was located in the northern area, far from populated areas, Station 2 was located in the eastern area, the Harbor Area and Station 3 was located in the southern area, the Beach area. Sampling was carried out 3 times, with an interval of 2 weeks. The method used in sampling marine debris and seagrass is the line transect and quadrant plot method. The square plot used measuring 1 x 1 m was placed on a transect line with a transect line length of 50 m. To measure the weight of marine debris, use a digital scale. The results of research show that there are 2 types of marine debris, namely plastic and cans and there are 4 types of seagrass, namely Enhalus acoroides, Halodule uninervis, Syringodium isoetifolium, Thalassia hemparicii. There are difererences in the abundance of marine debris and seagrass density at each station. The highest seagrass density was found at station 3 at 115,22 stands/m2 and lowest at station 2 at 92,22 stands/m2, the highest abundance of marine debris was found at station 2 at 2,55 units/m2 and the lowest at station 3 at 1,22 units/m2
