This caused anxiety and resistance among the Muslim community. The aim of this research is to identify the origins of the conflict, the solutions for resolving the conflict, and to understand the post-conflict social impacts on interfaith interactions and the social relations of the community in Aceh Singkil Regency (1979-2015). The results of this study show that: (1) The social conflict regarding the establishment of Christian places of worship in Aceh Singkil Regency was triggered by the disappointment of the Muslim community toward the Christian community for not adhering to the regulations set by the Aceh Government, where the majority of the population adheres to Islam, (2) The regulations on the establishment of places of worship in Aceh, (3) Peace efforts were made through dialogues between Muslim and Christian religious leaders, with the facilitation of the local government. The conflict in Aceh Singkil was not a religiously motivated conflict but was based on the actions of the church's construction committee and the regulations established by the Aceh local government, which holds autonomous power over the affairs of its region, including the establishment of Christian places of worship.
