Eksplorasi Kajian Etnomatematika Dalam Arsitektur Bangunan Istana Kantor Di Pulau Penyengat Pada Materi Geometri Di Sekolah Dasar
This study aims to explore ethnomathematics studies in the architecture of the Istana Kantorbuilding on Penyengat Island. And analyze the relationship between the architecture of the Istana Kantorbuilding and geometry material in Phase C in elementary schools. And describe the philosophy contained in the architecture of the Istana Kantor building on Penyengat Island. This study is a qualitative study using ethnographic research methods. The data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation as well as other sources such as books and journals. The results of this study indicate that there is a Malay ethnomathematics study on the architecture of the Istana Kantor building on Penyengat Island related to geometry material in elementary schools, including on the topic of flat and spatial shapes. And it contains philosophy, both from the layout of the room, color, shape, and so on. From this study, the researcher recommends to including ethnomathematics in the architecture of the Istana Kantor building on Penyengat Island as a source of learning mathematics in geometry material phase C in elementary schools.
