Education is currently developing very rapidly and requires maximum effort to achieve educational goals, as well as improving the quality of education, especially to face 21st century skills. To face 21st century skills, intelligent and skilled individuals are needed. These skills include information reading, problem solving, metacognitive, critical thinking, collaboration, innovation and creativity skills which need to be strengthened through learning activities. One of the efforts that can be made to improve the quality of education in accordance with the current demands of the 21st century is to provide materials that are suitable for current conditions, these teaching materials can be in the form of e-modules.
E-Modules are digital-based interactive teaching materials that are designed according to needs to help students in the independent learning process so as to maximize their intellectual abilities. Based on the results of an open questionnaire analysis, Pekanbaru City MGMP teachers in learning activities have never used e-modules in the learning process. The development of e-modules can also be combined with the self-organized learning environments (SOLE) learning model so that it can direct students in independent learning activities. With the existence of e-modules based on self-organized learning environments (SOLE), students can build their own learning concepts so that they can improve their critical thinking skills. and student learning outcomes. The development of e-modules based on self-organized learning environments (SOLE) was carried out on movement system material because this material is abstract and very complex.
This research aims to determine the quality of the e-module movement system based on self-organized learning environments (SOLE) and its influence on students' critical thinking abilities and learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 16 Pekanbaru using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. The analysis stage consists of curriculum analysis, analysis of student needs, analysis of teaching materials and material analysis. The design stage consists of designing learning tools and e-module design, the development stage consists of validity testing, teacher practicality testing, limited trials (one-on-one testing and small-scale testing). Meanwhile, in the implementation phase, a large-scale test was carried out in the form of implementing an e-module movement system based on self-organized learning environments (SOLE.
The results of research on the validity test show that the material for learning activities 1, 2 and 3 in the e-module is classified as very valid in 3 aspects, namely, the average for the didactic aspect is 91%, the average for the construction aspect is 91% and the average for the technical aspect is 91%. Then the results of the teacher practicality test showed that learning materials 1, 2 and 3 in the e-module were classified as very practical in 3 aspects, namely the average for the ease of use aspect was 100%, the average for the learning time efficiency aspect was 98% and the average for the benefits aspect was 97%. Then, in a one-on-one trial on the ease of use aspect, the average score was 100%, on the learning time efficiency aspect, 98%, on the benefits aspect, 96%. Then, there was a small scale test showing that learning materials 1, 2 and 3 in the e-module were classified as good in all three aspects, where in the ease of use aspect they got an average score in the ease aspect of 100%, in the aspect of learning time efficiency of 99%, in benefit aspect of 95.66%.
The results of research at the implementation stage show that there is a significant influence of the e-module movement system based on self-organized learning environments (SOLE) on students' critical thinking abilities and student learning outcomes, where the control class's critical thinking abilities got an average posttest score of 71.97 and the experimental class's average score was 71.97. posttest 85.67 then based on the results of the hypothesis test, a significant value (2 tailed) was obtained of 0.000, while for the learning results the control class got an average posttest score of 71.22 and the experimental class had an average posttest score 89.11 then based on the results of the hypothesis test, a significant value (2 tailed) was obtained of 0.000.
Based on the results of the development and implementation test of the self-organized learning environments (SOLE) based movement system e-module, it was found that the quality of the self-organized learning environments (SOLE) based movement system e-module was very good, and there was an influence of the self-organized learning environments (SOLE) based movement system e-module learning environments (SOLE) in improving critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of class XI high school students.
