Optimalisasi Penggunaan Sumberdaya Untuk Peningkatan Efisiensi Produksi Menggunakan Metode Cabang-Dan-Batas
This final project aims to improve production efficiency in a home-based ba- kery business located in Pekanbaru, by determining the optimal production quantities to maximize profit. The optimization technique applied is integer programming with the branch-and-bound approach, which calculates decision variable values using POM QM V5 software. The research is based on completed order data, including cake types, ingredients used, production quantities, selling prices, customer demand, and other relevant information. Before applying this optimization technique, overproduction occurred, resulting in unused cakes that were not served to customers, leading to raw material waste and suboptimal profit. After the optimization technique was applied, raw material usage was minimized while still ensuring that customer needs were adequately met. The analysis results show that optimization using the branch-and-bound method led to a 5.92% reduction in raw material costs and a 5.57% increase in profit. This research demonstrates that the application of the branch-and-bound method can reduce waste and improve production efficiency and profitability.
