Akar Kubik Dari Matriks Kuadrat Orde 3

This final project discusses the cubic root of square matrix of order 3 which aims to find an explicit form to determine the cubic root of square matrix of order 3, by applying the Cayley-Hamilton Theorem to the characteristic polynomial of square matrix of order 3. The explicit form is successfully obtained for matrices with trace not 0. However, for matrices with trace 0, a general formula that covers all possibilities cannot be found. As an alternative, this study presents some cases in determining the cubic root of a square matrix with trace 0.
