Permainan Bunyi Dalam Humor Meme Teka-Teki Di Akun Instagram @Shewantcoy

This study aims to explain the techniques and intent of sound games used by the owner of the instagram account @shewantcoy in making his memes. This research is a qualitative study with a descriptive method. The data in this study are memes discourses on the instagram account @shewantcoy that contain sound games. The data source was obtained from 77 memes on the instagram account @shewantcoy that contain sound games in January to March 2023. The data collection method used was the documentation method with reading and note-taking techniques. The results of the study showed that from the 77 memes on the instagram account @shewantcoy that were analyzed, the use of sound games techniques was found to be addition (prothesis, epenthesis, and paragog), substitution, phonological reduplication, onomatopoeia (human onomatopoeia and animal onomatopoeia), reduction (apheresis, syncope, and apocope), sound maintenance, metathesis, sound lengthening, contraction, giving pauses, removing pauses, and changing pauses. The sound games techniques most widely used by the owner of the instagram account @shewantcoy in making his memes is the substitution technique, while the sound games techniques not used by the owner of the instagram account @shewantcoy in making his memes is the onomatopoeia techniques typical of objects and onomatopoeia typical of everyday life. Meanwhile, the meaning of the sound games is analyzed based on the direction of the word intended by the owner of the instagram account @shewantcoy in the form of a reference to the form of sound games to create a funny and entertaining impression for readers through a form of sound that is similar to making puns.
