Manajemen Komunikasi Dalam Event “World Diabetes Day” Pt Nutrifood Indonesia Kota Pekanbaru
An event is an occasion that is closely related to communication. PT Nutrifood Indonesia has long been committed to contributing to the understanding and prevention of nutrition-related diseases, including diabetes. In particular, PT Nutrifood Indonesia uses the "World Diabetes Day" event in the city of Pekanbaru as a platform to educate the community about the importance of a healthy diet, an active lifestyle, and diabetes prevention. This study aims to analyze communication management at the research, design, planning, coordination, and evaluation stages of the "World Diabetes Day" event by PT Nutrifood Indonesia in Pekanbaru.
The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, involving subjects and objects related to PT Nutrifood Indonesia, with five informants selected using purposive sampling. The study was conducted in Pekanbaru from November 2023 to April 2024. Data collection methods include interviews, documentation, observation, and data analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Triangulation was used to ensure data validity.
The results show that PT Nutrifood Indonesia conducts research to understand local preferences regarding the event date, aligning it with community needs. During the design stage, communication management focuses on developing effective communication strategies to raise awareness about the event by designing messages and promotional materials that align with the event's goals and target audience. The planning stage involves detailed scheduling, location arrangements, and other preparations, emphasizing internal and external communication to keep all teams well-informed about the event's progress and preparations. In the coordination stage, communication management includes coordinating various teams such as marketing, logistics, and operations. The evaluation stage highlights the importance of feedback and post-event analysis. PT Nutrifood Indonesia evaluates the effectiveness of communication platforms used, participation levels, and participant satisfaction. This evaluation helps PT Nutrifood Indonesia identify strengths and areas for improvement for future events, ensuring the continuous enhancement of quality and positive impact of each event they organize.
