Pengaruh Daya Tarik Fisik Dan Daya Tarik Sosial Boygroup Nct Terhadap Minat Beli Fitur Bubble Pada Aplikasi Lysn Melalui Interaksi Parasosial
The advancement of communication technology and the internet has facilitated global information access, which has driven the growth of the K-Pop industry in Indonesia. Social media usage has significantly influenced K-Pop's popularity, allowing fans to interact with their idols, ultimately forming attachments known as parasocial interactions. Several factors influence parasocial interactions, including the idol’s social and physical attractiveness. The K-Pop industry offers various platforms to bring fans closer to their idols, one of which is the Lysn app, popular for its “Dear U Bubble” feature. The purpose of this research is to examine how the social and physical attractiveness of boygroup NCT influences purchase intention of the Bubble feature on the Lysn app through parasocial interaction.
This research uses a quantitative method with an explanatory approach. The study population consists of NCT fans, with a sample of 100 individuals selected through purposive sampling based on the Lemeshow formula. Data was collected through an online questionnaire via Google Forms. Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis conducted using SmartPLS 4 software, was employed to analyze and process the data.
The main findings of this study indicate that: (1) The physical attractiveness of boygroup NCT has a positive and significant influence on parasocial interaction between NCT fans and their idols, (2) The social attractiveness of boygroup NCT has a positive and significant influence on parasocial interaction between NCT fans and their idols, (3) Parasocial interaction between NCT fans and their idols has a positive and significant influence on the purchase intention of the Bubble feature on the Lysn app, (4) The physical attractiveness of boygroup NCT has a positive and significant influence on the purchase intention of the Bubble feature on the Lysn app through parasocial interaction, and (5) The social attractiveness of boygroup NCT has a positive and significant influence on the purchase interest of the Bubble feature on the Lysn app through parasocial interaction.
