Kemampuan Menyimak Intensif Berbantuan Media Audiovisual Mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa Dan Sastra Indonesia Di Perguruan Tinggi Pekanbaru
The intensive listening ability test assisted by audiovisual media was carried out with the aim of determining the competency level of students' listening skills by looking at the scores on the results of the listening ability test and the categorization of these scores. This research was carried out at the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Riau University, Sultan Syarif Kasim State Islamic University, and Riau Islamic University. The researcher used a quantitative descriptive analysis method that focused on tests or exercises with a population of all PBSI students class of 2024 from the three universities, which was later found to be 272 students, so the sample was drawn using a random sampling technique, the number of which was known to be 162 students with a breakdown of 70 students. from PBSI UNRI, 55 students from PBSI UINSUSKA, and 37 students from PBSI UIR. The data collection technique in this research used an intensive listening test in the form of objective questions totaling 30 questions. Based on the results of data analysis, the intensive listening ability of UNRI, UINSUSKA and UIR students has an average of 59.89 with the difference between the intensive listening test results of UNRI PBSI students and UINSUSKA PBSI students being 7.69, The difference between the intensive listening test results of PBSI UINSUSKA students and PBSI UIR students was 15.73, and the difference between the intensive listening test results of PBSI UIR students and PBSI UNRI students was 8.04. This research found that the intensive listening skills assisted by audiovisual media of PBSI class of 2024 students are still in the intermediate category, which in this case falls into the weak category, so listening activities assisted by audiovisual media need to be improved in learning activities, especially for listening activities. This improvement can help students to be better prepared and focused on carrying out listening activities.
