Perkembangan Perpustakaan Soeman Hs Provinsi Riau (1978-2017)

This research discusses the development of the Soeman HS Library in Riau Province in the period 1978-2017. The aims of this research are (1) to find out the history of the establishment of the Riau Province Soeman HS Library (2) to find out the development process of the Riau Province Soeman HS Library from 1978- 2017 (3) to find out the utilization of the Riau Province Soeman HS Library (4) ) to determine the driving and inhibiting factors for the development of the Soeman HS Library, Riau Province. This research uses historical research methods, namely heuristics, verification, interpretation and historiography. The results of this research found that the Riau Province Soeman Hs Library experienced quite good development in infrastructure and administration and the Riau Province Soeman Hs Library had many benefits, both in terms of education and even in terms of preserving the collection of historical library materials in Riau Province.
