Implementasi Kebijakan Pemeliharaan Dan Penilikan Jalan Kota Oleh Dinas Pekerjaan Umum Dan Penataan Ruang Di Kota Pekanbaru
This research is motivated by the state of the road which is still categorized as damaged. The effort to implement the policy is to provide services in the form of repair, prevention of road conditions so as not to experience damage. Road damage that is not immediately addressed will get worse, resulting in an increased risk of traffic accidents that can endanger the safety of road users. This research aims to find out and the obstacles faced by the Pekanbaru City Public Works and Spatial Planning Office in implementing the Pekanbaru City road maintenance and surveillance policy. The theory used in this research is the theory of Ripley and Franklin, which has three indicators: the level of apparatus compliance, smoothness and absence of problems, and performance. This research uses qualitative methods with data collection through interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Pekanbaru city road maintenance and surveillance policy has not run optimally because obstacles are still found in its implementation. The obstacles found include inadequate road repair tools, lack of coordination between the Pekanbaru City Public Works and Spatial Planning Office and the village or sub-district in repairing roads and the slow process of handling roads by the Pekanbaru City Public Works and Spatial Planning Office.
