Pengelolaan Taman Kota Teluk Kuantan Oleh Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi

Teluk Kuantan City Park is a public space managed by the Kuantan Singingi Regency Environmental Agency and serves as a means of recreation, education, and urban greening. However, its management still faces various problems, such as the lack of routine maintenance and maintenance of facilities, lack of environmental education, and limited park security management. This study aims to analyze the management of Teluk Kuantan City Park by using qualitative research methods and Terry's theory, which includes four main indicators: planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising. The results showed that the planning and organizing aspects had been carried out well. However, in the aspects of implementation and supervision, there are still various problems that affect the effectiveness of park management. The main obstacles in this management include limited supporting technology, lack of adequate facilities and infrastructure, and low public awareness in maintaining park facilities. Improvement efforts are needed, especially in improving supporting technology and facilities, strengthening supervision, and providing education to the public regarding the importance of preserving parks. With better management, Teluk Kuantan City Park is expected to provide more optimal benefits as a comfortable, safe and educational public space.
