Efektivitas Pengembangan Program Ekoeduwisata mangrove Di Desa Pangkalan Jambi Kecamatan Bukit Batu Kabupaten Bengkalis
This study analyzes the development program of mangrove eco-education tourism in Pangkalan Jambi Village, Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency, which has experienced a significant decline in visitors from 2022 to 2024. This decline is attributed to the lack of adequate facilities and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which made it difficult to maintain existing facilities. A qualitative approach with a phenomenological method was used to explore the factors influencing the development of eco-tourism. The findings show that, despite efforts through Pertamina's CSR program, the lack of understanding and initiative from the managers is a significant obstacle. Dependence on partners limits innovation, affecting the tourism appeal. The study suggests that creative and independent management updates, along with a better understanding of sustainable resource management, are needed to increase visitor numbers.
