Etnografi Virtual Terhadap Akun Alter Pada Penjualan Private Content Di Sosial Media X
The emergence of new media, especially in the digital era, has brought changes in communication patterns, including the emergence of "alter" accounts. One phenomenon in this community is the sale of "private content", which means individuals use alter identities (alternative identities that do not represent their real selves) to sell private content to their followers. The user with the name @alleeebbbb is mentioned as a specific example of an alter account involved in private content sales transactions with around 9000 followers. The purpose of this research is to determine media space, media documents, media objects and the experience of the X application on alter accounts in selling private content.
This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. Research subjects were selected purposively, involving 3 informants. Data was analyzed using cyber media analysis in the form of media spaces, media documents, media objects and experiences, by checking the validity of the data through participation and triangulation.
Based on the results of virtual ethnographic research on private content sales accounts on social media The media documents used in these sales are photos, videos and text with pornographic nuances to attract followers and income. Interaction in the alter community is very active, with enthusiasm for the content shared by @alleeebbbb. In terms of experience, the owner of this account is driven by the need for affection and validation after being disappointed with his partner, even though he feels not proud and hopes to leave this activity one day.
