Rancang Bangun Penanganan Jarak Jauh Layanan Cash On Delivery (COD) Menuju Kotak Pos Pintar Berbasis Internet Of Thing (IOT)
This research designs a package receiving Smartbox tool that supports Cash on Delivery (COD) transactions by utilizing Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The need to improve the goods delivery experience, especially in the COD method, encourages the development of systems that can facilitate the receipt of packages safely and efficiently. This system integrates Loadcell sensors, NodeMCU ESP8266 and Esp 32 to provide notifications to users when packages arrive in the form of images, and ultrasonic sensors are used as notifications to users if money has been taken, as well as allowing the courier to open the smartbox drawer via notifications on the LCD on the smartbox. By using the Firebase-based Kodular application interface as a data storage platform, this system is able to manage shipping information in real-time. The results of the research show that this tool not only increases security in the delivery of goods, but also improves the user experience in online shopping. System testing shows a good level of responsiveness and high accuracy in the package verification process, making Smartbox an innovative solution in improving delivery services using the COD method. Hardware includes mechanical and electronic components, while software includes a COD Smartbox GUI designed with Kodular. In stress testing, errors were below 5%, allowing the device to function as expected. The results of 10 experiments show a high level of accuracy of the device in pressing buttons. The prototype achieved an accuracy rate of 97.5% in pressing the button, while sensor testing can show how much weight and minimum and maximum distance the sensor can work. Delay testing shows three main delays, namely request delay from the COD Smartbox GUI to Firebase (1242,028 ms), Firebase response delay to the COD Smartbox GUI (0,973.88 ms), delay from Firebase to ESP 8266 (0,454.1 ms), and image upload delay from ESP 32 Cams to Firebase Storage (1986 ms) with an average image size of 276,938 kb.
