Konotasi Dalam Bahasa Komentator Sepak Bola Valentino Simanjuntak Padaajang AFF U19

This research aims to explain the expressions with positive and negative connotations found in the language of football commentator Valentino Simanjuntak at the AFF U-19 event. The data for this research are language units meaning positive and negative connotations in the language of football commentator Valentino Simanjuntak at the AFF U19 event, namely in the Indonesia vs Philippines match on 5 July 2018 and Indonesia vs Thailand on 9 July 2018. The data source in this research is a video application which is a service PT Surya Citra Media's free and paid broadcast-based streaming. The data collection techniques in research use look, listen and note techniques. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive. Themethod used is descriptivein theform of words and language. Data analysis techniques in this research include data reduction, data analysis, and inference/verification. Based on the research results, there are two types of connotations in the language of football commentator Valentino Simanjuntak at the AFF U19 event, namely positive connotations and negative connotations. After conducting research, in the Indonesia vs Philippines match on July 5 2018 there were 27 data with 24 data having a positive connotation and 3 data having a negative connotation. In the Indonesia vs Thailand match on July 9 2018, there are 18 data with 10 data having a positive connotation and 8 data having a negative connotation.
