Perbandingan Performansi Mesin Pengkondisian Udara Sebagai Water Heater Dengan Penambahan Evaporative Cooling Menggunakan Refrigeran Hidrokarbon
Experimental research has been carried out on air conditioning machine as water heater by replacing R-22 refrigerant with Musicool MC-22 hydrocarbon refrigerant. The test lasted for 120 minutes with a time interval of 5 minutes. The variables that are varied are without evaporative cooling and with evaporative cooling. The average test results on the air conditioning machine as a water heater with the addition of evaporative cooling to the variation of cooling load showed that the values were more effective and optimal where the values of water temperature, cooling capacity, heat capacity discharged by the condenser, COPC, and COPC+HE were higher than in the test without evaporative cooling which had values of 39.9°C, respectively. 3.1147 kW, 3.6476 kW, 4.5129, and 4.7409 (without
cooling load), 40.4°C, 3.2172 kW, 3.7519 kW, 4.6539, and 4.8806 (1000 Watt
cooling load), 41.4°C, 3.3563 kW, 3.891 kW, 4.824, and 5.0555 (2000 Watt cooling
load), 41.9°C, 3.5209 kW, 4.0561 kW, 4.9987, and 5.239 (3000 Watt cooling load), while the average room temperature, condenser temperature, and compressor power values were lower than in the non-evaporative cooling test, which had their respective values 16.9°C, 31.9°C, and 0.6904 kW (without cooling load), 20°C, 32.9°C, and 0.6917 kW (1000 Watt cooling load), 24.8°C, 34.5°C, and 0.6958 kW (2000 Watt cooling load), 30.4°C, 35.8°C, and 0.7048 kW (3000 Watt cooling load).
