Electric bicycles are vehicles that are now widely loved by the public. As an alternative vehicle that utilizes electrical energy, the use of electric bicycles is very practical and does not produce emissions. The electrical energy stored in the battery will be converted into motion energy by the electric motor. The purpose of this study is to design a charging system on electric bicycles using a DC to DC boost converter. Based on the capacity of the battery used as an energy source on an electric bike, This study designed an electric bicycle charging system using a boost converter to meet the battery power needs used in electric bicycles. This study uses a 24 V 20 Ah battery and a charging system with a charging voltage of 28 V and a charging current of 6 A. for 1.34 hours or about 80 minutes and loaded with 65 Kg for 1.60 hours or about 96 minutes From the test results carried out on an electric bicycle when loaded with 50 Kg and 65 KG and travelling a distance of 10KM, you can get a battery charging time when loaded with 65 KG.
