Karakteristik Morfologi Jenis-Jenis Mangrove Di Desa Mengkapan, Kecamatan Sungai Apit, Kabupaten Siak Dan Hubungan Kekerabatannya
Mangrove forests are forests that grow in tidal areas with high tolerance to salt content, widely distributed in tropical and subtropical regions. Mengkapan Village, Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency, Riau Province is one of the distribution of mangrove forest in Riau Province. This study aims to determine the morphological characteristics of mangrove species in Mengkapan Village, Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency and their kinship relationships. The exploration method was used for sampling of the specimens. Herbarium specimens were prepared for identification and morphological characterization. Morphological data were scored before being analyzed using the NTSyspc-2.02i program to obtain the similarity coefficient and contruct dendrogram. A total mangrove species were identified in this study was 14 species. These species belong to 10 families (Asteraceae, Rubiaceae, Acanthaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Rhizophoraceae, Malvaceae, Combretaceae, Lythraceae, Meliaceae, and Arecaceae). The morphological characters vary within the species. Dendrogram was separated into two major groups, group Ia and group Ib, at the coefficient of 0.22. The similarity coefficient ranged from 0.16 to 0.77. The grouping is based on morphological characteristics such as stature, roots, stems, leaves, flowers, and fruits.
Key findings: Morphology, Kinship Relationship, Species, Dendrogram, Mengkapan Village.
