The Digital Pawnshop application is an innovative solution introduced by PT Pegadaian to meet the public’s need for accessing pawn services online. In line with the rapid advancement of technology, this application aims to simplify and expedite the pawn transaction process while improving convenience and efficiency, allowing users to complete transactions without having to visit a physical branch. The Digital Pawnshop application offers various features that can be accessed flexibly through mobile devices, enabling users to conduct transactions anytime and anywhere. This study aims to explore the socialization process and implementation of the Digital Pawnshop application at the Panam Pekanbaru branch.
The research uses a qualitative descriptive method with interviews, observation, and documentation as data collection techniques. The subjects were selected using Purposivee sampling, involving 9 informants with knowledge of the application’s implementation. Data validation was carried out through participation and triangulation techniques.
The results of the study show that PT Pegadaian Panam Pekanbaru branch did not conduct in-depth research before socializing the application. The socialization was based on communication elements that had been planned in advance, and the implementation was carried out according to the plan. The evaluation of the socialization was conducted after its completion, and the report on the results was submitted to the Branch Head of PT Pegadaian Panam Pekanbaru. This study provides an overview of the implementation of the Digital Pawnshop application at the branch level and its contribution to improving service efficiency for the public
