Pengembangan Sepeda Motor Menjadi Sepeda Motor Roda Tiga Sebagai Alat Angkut Barang Menggunakan Metode Quality Function Deployment (Qfd) Malvin
ABSTRACT
Motorcycles are a popular means of transport for carrying two passengers but
have limitations in terms of cargo capacity. Three-wheeled motorcycles are also
used for transporting both people and goods, offering advantages in terms of
stability, riding comfort, and load capacity. However, the relatively high cost and
varying transportation needs of small and medium business operators hinder the
utilization of three-wheeled motorcycles as a superior means of transport. This
study aims to develop motorcycles into three-wheeled motorcycles for transporting
goods using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method based on the needs
of small and medium business operators. The research involves several stages,
including identifying customer needs through questionnaires, processing data
using the QFD method, and obtaining the results of developing motorcycles into
three-wheeled motorcycles that meet the needs of business operators. The findings
indicate that the development of motorcycles into three-wheeled motorcycles can
fulfill 7 business operator requirement attributes with technical responses in
product design, product material, product reliability, product mechanism, product
dimensions, and the availability of spare parts in the market.
