Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning (Pbl) Dengan Konteks Olahraga Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Peserta Didik Kelas Vii.8 Smpn 8 Pekanbaru
The improvement of the learning process and the enhancement of students' mathematical problem solving ability (KPMM) through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with a sports context is the purpose of this study. The research applied is Classroom Action Research (PTK) on 38 students of class VII.8 SMPN 8 Pekanbaru as research subjects. The learning tools used consist of ATP and teaching modules. Data collection instruments consist of observation sheets and KPMM tests. Data were analyzed based on observations and KPMM tests of students. The results of the study showed that the application of the PBL model with a sports context was able to improve students' KPMM. The increase in the average score of the KPMM test of students from cycle I was 51.84 to 65.39 in cycle II. These results illustrate that the application of the PBL model with a sports context can improve the learning process and improve the KPMM of students of class VII.8 SMPN 8 Pekanbaru
