Analisis Pengaruh Variasi Jumlah Bilah Terhadap Performa Model Turbin Ventilator Ukuran 12 Inci Sebagai Pembangkit Listrik
ABSTRACT
In this research, innovation was carried out on ventilators using wind energy as an electricity generator. Where the rotation of the ventilator turbine is used to drive a DC generator. This research was conducted to determine the effect of blade variations on a 12inch ventilator turbine used for power generation. This research highlights the importance of turbine blade variations on turbine efficiency, considering that previous research shows that model variations and blade variations have a significant influence on turbine efficiency. However, there has been no specific research regarding the effect of the number of blades on the performance of a 12inch ventilator turbine as a power generator with a belt and pulley transmission system leading to a DC generator. Therefore, this research aims to analyze how different numbers of blades affect turbine performance and ultimately determine the most optimal variation to maximize power output. This method involves measuring the voltage and current produced by the generator and the turbine shaft speed under various air flow conditions. The experimental setup included tests with different numbers of blades, namely 20 blades, 16 blades, and 12 blades, and a wind tunnel was used to simulate the air flow. The test results show that the most optimal rotation performance is the 16 blade variation compared to the others.
