Performansi Solar-Assisted Heat Pump Water Heater Kapasitas Tangki 30 Liter Dengan Fluida Kerja R134a
ABSTRACT
Bathing in hot water has many benefits and has now become a lifestyle habit for Indonesians. Water is usually heated using fossil fuels or electrical energy, but since these natural resources are non-renewable, the supply is decreasing every day. One solution that has emerged is the manufacture of direct-expansion heat pump water heater. Tests were conducted to determine the performance of the direct-expansion solar-assisted heat pump water heater which mainly consists of an evaporator panel with a surface area of 0.23 m2, a rotary compressor with an input power of 1/6 PK, an insulated water tank that has been wrapped around a 15 m long ¼ inch diameter condenser and a 1 mm diameter capillary pipe 1.61 m long. Tests were conducted in three different conditions, namely outdoors, indoors, and indoors with air conditioning. The test results show that the COP of the DX-SAHPWH system is better when used outdoors in direct sunlight. Higher solar radiation intensity has a positive effect on the performance of the DX-SAHPWH system. Ambient temperature has no significant effect on the performance of the DX-SAHPWH system, in contrast to the effect of solar radiation intensity. The lower the desired final water temperature, the better the performance and coefficient of performance (COP) of the DX-SAHPWH system, and the time required to achieve these conditions becomes shorter.
