Deteksi Kebocoran Dan Sumbatan Pada Pipa Bercabang Menggunakan Sinyal Suara
ABSTRACT
Piping system is one of the important components commonly used to move fluid between one equipment to another equipment to pass certain processes or flow fluid between one plant to another plant which usually passes through several areas. Damage to the piping system can cause personal injury, facility damage, environmental damage, and economic loss. Several factors cause damage to pipes such as natural disasters, corrosion, mechanical failure, and others. The most common damage to piping systems is leaks and blockages. Prevention of damage to the piping system is very important. In this research, damage detection is carried out on branched pipes using sound signals. The sound signal is given in the form of impulses from a loudspeaker and captured by a microphone sensor. The data obtained in the form of time domain and wavelet transform. The results show that the larger the diameter of the leak, the smaller the time domain value and the greater the wavelet value. As for the blockage, the larger the diameter of the blockage, the greater the time domain value and the greater the wavelet value. However, there are conditions where the position of the blockage produces a small time domain value, the wavelet value is getting bigger.
