Desain Perancangan Monitoring Energi Photovoltaic Secara Real-Time Yang Disimpan Pada Cloud Berbasis Arduino
ABSTRACT
Currently, solar panels are one of the most widely used renewable energy sources
in recent years. These solar panels function to convert sunlight radiation into
electrical energy through the photovoltaic process, generating direct current (DC).
However, solar panels have some shortcomings, so effective monitoring of the
photovoltaic (PV) system's performance becomes an important part of utilizing
solar energy. Based on this statement, there is a need to design an effective solar
panel monitoring system, which includes measuring DC-AC voltage on the solar
panel and converter, DC-AC current on the inverter, power factor (cos phi),
frequency, and solar energy. In this study, the designed monitoring system involves
a voltage divider circuit, ACS712 current sensor, zero crossing detector circuit,
phase difference circuit, ESP8266, Arduino, 20x4 LCD, and cloud storage. The
total energy of the solar panel recorded over 12 hours was 42.68Wh. In each test
conducted on this monitoring system, each sensor had an average error of 10%.
Arduino is less effective to use due to slower data processing, where it takes 4-5
seconds to generate data for monitoring. Cloud storage for PV monitoring is very
helpful in storing large amounts of data and allows monitoring from a very long
distance.
