ABSTRACT


A motor grader is a type of tractor with a drive in the form of a tire wheel that uses a blade whose slope can be adjusted to level the land surface, as well as to form the road body (leveling and grading) which is usually used in road projects to create a certain slope of a road section. This research aims to design and manufacture a motor grader with a steering and traveler motion control system using a Bluetooth system and an internet of things cloud system. Where the maximum Bluetooth coverage distance is 25 meters and the internet of things cloud can be controlled anywhere without any distance restrictions with the support of a CCTV control monitoring system. This motor grader model can convert large-scale equipment into a laboratory-scale motor grader model, namely 1:10 scale, which is controlled remotely. This research will also discuss the steering system of a motor grader using steering driven by a servo motor for the turning movement. This garder motor will be driven using a 12 V DC motor for back and forth movement, and uses an MG996R servo to turn the front wheels. This motor grader has a maximum front wheel turning radius of 143.84 cm, an inside front wheel turning angle of 30º and an outside front wheel turning angle of 23.46 ͦ.
