Pengembangan Sistem Transmisi Sepeda Motor Roda Tiga Menggunakan Metode Design For Manufacture And Assembly (Dfma)
ABSTRACT
A three-wheeled motorcycle is a type of transportation used to support human activities and transport goods, developed as an adaptation of the two-wheeled motorcycle. The transmission system functions to transfer the engine's rotational power to the wheels, allowing the vehicle to operate as intended. The transmission system must be designed properly to avoid issues during operation. This study aims to achieve assembly efficiency, the production of several components, and an analysis of the service costs required for the transmission system of a three-wheeled motorcycle. The study applies the Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) method. Based on the DFMA analysis, the theoretical assembly time was calculated as 107.47 seconds with an efficiency rate of 39.08%, while the actual assembly time was 149.86 seconds with an efficiency rate of 28.02%. The manufacturing cost, materials and component is estimated at Rp.4.151,500.
