Penerapan Metode Design For Manufacture (Dfm) Pada Perancangan Manufaktur Chassis Sepeda Motor Roda Tiga
ABSTRACT
This study focuses on the design and manufacture of a three-wheeled motorcycle chassis using the Design For Manufacture (DFM) method approach. DFM is a method used to design products by considering ease and efficiency in the manufacturing process. In this study, the DFM approach aims to optimize the chassis design so that the manufacturing process becomes simpler, faster, and lower production costs. The design process begins with an analysis of needs and design specifications that are in accordance with the functionality and safety of the vehicle. The results of the study indicate that the application of DFM to the design of a three-wheeled motorcycle chassis produces a design that is easier to produce with maintained quality, and reduces manufacturing time and costs. Thus, the DFM method is very effective in increasing production efficiency and the quality of the final product. Design For Manufacture (DFM) there are 2 product designs, namely the initial product design obtained a manufacturing cost of Rp. 3,268,000 and a manufacturing process time of 203 minutes, while the final product design obtained a manufacturing cost of Rp. 2,866,000 and a time of 198 minutes.
