Komunikasi Dinas Parawisata Daerah Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan Dalam Mengembangkan Destinasi Aek Sijorni
Aek Sijorni is one of the tourist destinations in the form of natural water games located in Sayur Matinggi District, in South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra. The attraction is in the form of a clear cascading waterfall and surrounded by dense green forests, creating an amazing and soothing view. Therefore the need for effective communication in the development of Aek Sijorni tourist destinations. Dinas Pariwisata Daerah Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan and stakeholders in developing Aek Sijorni tourist destinations is very important to ensure the success of promotion and sustainability of a destination.
The method in this research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The research was conducted at Dinas Pariwisata Daerah Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan located at Antur Mangan, Sipirok and Aek Sijorni in Sayur Matinggi District, South Tapanuli Regency. The research subjects amounted to 8 people who were determined through purposive techniques. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used the Huber and Miles model analysis technique. Data validity uses triangulation.
The results showed that tourism communication carried out by Dinas Pariwisata Daerah Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan, Aek Sijorni managers, local communities, and visitors influenced the development of Aek Sijorni tourist destinations. Tourism communication plays an important role in the development of a tourist destination. By performing their respective roles as stakeholders, through collaboration between Dinas Pariwisata Daerah Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan and the stakeholders involved, information about the potential, attractiveness, and uniqueness of the destination is disseminated consistently, both through traditional and digital channels. Stakeholders can utilize social media, websites, and other digital platforms to introduce tourist destinations, provide up-to-date information, and conduct direct tourist interactions. In addition, this communication also includes managing the destination's image, providing clear information, and being responsive to issues or feedback from tourists. With a coordinated approach between Dinas Pariwisata Daerah Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan, Aek Sijorni managers, local communities living in Aek Sijorni, industry players, and tourists, the development of Aek Sijorni tourist destinations can be more targeted, attract more tourists, and improve the welfare of local communities.
