Kaji Eksperimental Pengaruh Profile Blade Venturi Terhadap Kinerja Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine (Hawt) Hybrid
ABSTRACT
Small-scale hybrid wind turbines are innovations made by combining two different types of wind turbines with the same axis to improve the efficiency performance of the turbine. The object of this research is the design of the aerodynamic design of the venturi wind turbine blade profile resulting from testing the hybrid Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine (HAWT). Performance testing is carried out with variations in wind speed in terms of the efficiency (ƞ) produced. Tests were carried out with a wind source coming from a blower fan with an open wind tunnel. The wind speed used in this experimental research ranges from 2.5 - 5 m/s with an additional wind speed of 0.5 m/s and four variations in the number of blade profiles, namely with a solidity value of variation A of 0.23, variation B of 0.21, variation C of 0.24, variation D of 0.22. The results showed that the effect of the blade profile on the venturi turbine has an impact on the efficiency given, namely the greatest efficiency of the four blade profile variations is variation D with an efficiency of 32% at a wind speed of 4.5 m / s with a Tip Speed Ratio (TSR) of 1.20 and a solidity value of 0.22.
