Pengelolaan Hutan Adat Ghimbo Pomuan Berbasismasyarakat Dikabupaten Kampar
This research is motivated by the suboptimal management of the Ghimbo Pomuan customary forest in supporting community welfare, despite the forest having received official recognition. This research aims to understand and describe the community-based management of the Ghimbo Pomuan customary forest in Kampar Regency and to identify the inhibiting factors. This research uses the Community- Based Natural Resource Management theory according to Mulyana et al. The research method used is qualitative and descriptive in nature, collecting data through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research results show that the management implementation in the Ghimbo Pomuan customary forest focuses on the utilization of non-timber forest products by applying conservation principles based on customary rules. However, the lack of involvement from the community members who are part of the management group makes its implementation less economically beneficial. The inhibiting factors are the still low participation of indigenous communities and the limitations in funding sources. This research recommends establishing partnerships with various stakeholders to optimize funding sources, develop training programs, diversify products, and utilize digital systems.
